Learn how to install the Plait app on your phone
We often get asked the question if we have an app for iPhone or Android. The answer is both yes and no. No, we don’t have a native iPhone or Android app yet, but we do have a progressive web app (PWA) which is fully mobile-compatible.
That means you can add Plait to your device’s home screen and run it just like any other app, and even receive push notifications to your mobile device.
This allows us to make the full set of features from Plait available to all providers on any device, and roll out new updates much faster, without having to maintain three different apps.
1. Launch Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Navigate to the Plait web app at https://app.plaithealth.com/
3. Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
4. Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen.
5. If you don't see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you'll be able to select it from the share options.
6. Type a name for the app link, e.g. Plait.
7. Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.
1. Open the Plait web app in Chrome at https://app.plaithealth.com/
2. Tap the three-dot menu, and select "Add to Home screen".
3. Tap Install from the Add to home screen options
4. Tap Install to add Plait as an app on your Android device.
With the app installed on your home screen, you can set push notifications to notify you when you have new conversations and messages.
1. Open the Plait app and login on your phone or tablet
2. Click on your avatar in the bottom left corner of the screen
3. In the menu that shows up, tap Profile Settings
4. Scroll down to Push Notifications (towards the bottom)
5. Press the Enable push notifications button and select the options to get notified (new conversation, conversation assigned, mentioned in conversation, new messages)
You’ll now get push notifications on your phone when a visit is started or when new messages are received.
Yes, we’re looking at building a native app at some stage, but don’t have a definitive timeline in place yet. Our progressive web app is fully mobile-compatible and can be used on any device in the meantime.
